Pearls visit the Grenadines

iego Martin Zone “WESTERN PEARLS” visited St. Vincent and the Grenadines from July 7-12th 2017. The
contingent of twenty- eight persons stayed at The Young Island Resort which is off the mainland. The only way to get
to the Resort was by boat and it truly was an adventurous ride. Over the six day period some of the members took part in
the Carnival Celebrations, went sightseeing and shopping. They also attended a beach party at Bequia.
Other Activities
On August 5th Western Pearls participated in the TTARP All Fours games fiesta which was hosted by the Arima Zone
and held at the Arima Tennis Court. Our All Fours “B” Team placed third in the competition and was presented with three
bronze medals and a trophy. We also won a prize for being the most uniformed zone.
In September approximately 60 members attended the A.G.M. which was held at the Centre of Excellence Macoya.
In October at our Monthly meeting we had Ms. Doril St. Hill, Nutritionist who spoke on benefits of making proper food
choices and the importance of drinking enough water.
